Last year I got a program called Horizon Academic Research Program where you can do research under a mentorship of many very knowledgeable people who either completed their studies in this field or in the process of getting PhD. It was my dream to do research and also it was very beneficial for my university applications in the US. So I decided to apply there, I got in, but the problem was that since I requested financial aid, I didn’t have a chance to pick a mentor due to their company’s limitations. Every mentor has a very limited amount of seats to take as students with financial aid. So instead of aerodynamics how I planned initially I could have chosen a particle physics mentor or cancel the program. I decided to stay and I started my journey in particle physics. It was a very new field for me because before I’ve never heard of it I knew only about Lush Hydrogen Collider but didn’t really understood what is happening there, why are we doing this and so on and so forth. It was a life-changing experience because I got a really good mentor who introduced me to this field that I I really love this experience enhanced my application, but aside from this, it broadened my understanding of physics, of research. Now I know a lot of technicalities of the field, how it is connected to other science of physics and how to do research which is very important is I plan to do this at university after getting acceptance.
