I think there are very few things in life that I cannot live without, but the one thing I would really miss is my two-wheeler, the Activa. It's my main mode of conveyance. I live in the suburbs of Pagawara, and for most necessities, I have to travel to the city. For example, there is a small grocery shop near my home, but it has a limited variety. Even my colleagues are in the city, and it's the only mode of travel for me now. Before the pandemic, there was a regular bus service to the city, but due to the lockdowns and the hesitation to travel by public transportation, the bus service is far less regular. In fact, earlier there used to be a bus to the city every half hour, but now there is one every two hours. Moreover, buses make more stops nowadays, so traveling takes considerably longer as well. On my two-wheeler, it takes me 15 minutes, while it takes 40 minutes by bus, and going to the city by bus is still fine, but coming back is very challenging. When going, I can wait in the comfort of my home, but while coming back, I have to wait at the bus stop. I would really feel handicapped without my two-wheeler. I have faced this situation where I had to live without it, and it was one of the worst days of this year. A month ago, my two-wheeler broke down, and the service center was out of a faulty part. Due to this, it took a whole week for it to get repaired. I couldn't do anything that week. The first day, my friend gave me a lift in his car, and another friend dropped me back home. But I felt awkward asking them again. I tried the bus for the first and last time after the lockdown on the second day. It was such a horrible experience. I thought it was better to stay home all along than to travel by bus. It also brought about a newfound appreciation in me for those who travel by bus daily. I hope the government really does something about the buses soon, but until that time, no one can stop me from my Activa.
