They usually call it a coastal gem, and it truly is being situated on, um, the mediterranean sea. It enjoys a very nice mediterranean climate with not so hot summers and not so hotter, not so harsh winters. However, nowadays winters are harsher than they used to be due to climate change. Maybe, uh, also therieze coming from the sea is very refreshing and adds a wonderful touch to the city’s atmosphere. A very nice anecdote about people in Alexandria that they like to attribute so many good things and positive things to. The aroma comes from the sea. So they would claim that the iodine aroma, which they, they don’t consider as iodine aroma, um, which actually comes from the marine organisms living in the sea. So they would claim that it, uh, helps to provide us with good health and good mood, and uh, it helps to mitigate the feeling of being sad also. And I like this part about people there, that they have their own, uh, way of interpreting and understanding this specific phenomenon.
