It is not as similar as Cyclone but definitely it is one of the most strengthening conditions for both public health and also for lowering the labour productivity. So, I am currently working as a physiotherapist in Chennai, so I cannot escape from this heat web especially. As I go out for visiting my patients or for taking to buy some things for essential product of a house, of a home, it’s very exhausting and unbearable for me. And whenever I am with the patient, it feels, it realises me how difficult to face the heat and to tolerate the temperature, especially in the Chennai. Chennai is a hot city but this year it’s particularly relentless and the temperature is increasing from 38 degree Celsius to 42 degree Celsius with the humidity which making it more worse. It’s not only affecting me personally but it is also affecting the society. in terms of lowering the labour productivity and threatening the public head. For example, especially for the women, due to the increased in temperature, it affects the menstrual cycles, the delaying, which is a very concerned factor. One more is labour productivity, which leads to the fatigue and the cramps. I personally feel that I cannot bear till the next month this summer but still somehow I am managing.
