I wouldn't exactly limit it to large organizations, since given the development of technology and the scope and range of new media, it's safe to say that media nowadays have immense influence on people. I think one of the reasons is the amount of exposure people have to these media outlets that makes them susceptible to influence and affected by whatever media they consume. Hence, I would generally say that media organizations do have influence on people. However, it is true that larger organizations with higher budgets or more resources have a wider influence as well.
