Based on my observation, I suppose that the element to define whether people are inclined to stay at home or not depends more on their interests. While the majority have a passion for outdoor activities, we cannot deny the fact that some of them are pretty keen on indoor activities such as playing video games or watching movies. On the other hand, older people mainly hesitate to go outside since they are apprehensive about access. The important thing is that most elderly people value relationships, so they still pay visits to their relatives and friends occasionally.
