From my perspective, nowadays the young generation does not take their parents' advice on choosing a major for their future career. The previous generation, as parents, often chose stable fields such as accounting or banking. However, thanks to the development of economic goals and global career opportunities, the young generation now has more ability and chances to pursue creative work, such as design, marketing, or even art. Therefore, most students today want to choose their major on their own.

Because from the previous generation as the parents’ generation, they came on their try to choose some stable such as accounting or banking but thanks to the development of economic goals and global career opportunities, nowadays the young generation can have more ability and chance to do some creative works such as designers or marketing or maybe artists all the jazz. So there are almost of the students nowadays who want to choose their main major by their own.
