One memorable time when I encountered doing someone to do something what they didn’t want to do was when I persuaded my class friend to participate in a speaking competition in our school. Well, my friend is very intelligent and hardworking but she is extremely shy and and lack of self confidence. So, her English was excellent, but she had a terrifying speaking in front of large audience because she afraid of making small mistakes and being jotted by someone. So, someone’s by others, public speaking, I encourage her because I genuinely believe that she had a great potential that boosts her opportunity and this experience could help her become more perfect. Nobody is perfect and making music is completely normal and also I told her that confidence develops through practice, not appearing overnight. To support her, I also prepare a speech and listening to her rehearsal and also give constructive feedback whenever she felt nervous herself. At first, she was still hesitant and wanted to quit several times, but after a lot of encouragement she agreed to participate in this speaking competition. In the end, she performed far better than she did, but she gradually relaxed and delivered impressive speech and even she plays second, well, second place, she won second place which boost her confidence from Mendeus Lee.
