I believe that mobile phones have significantly affected face-to-face conversations. However, I don't have strong evidence for it, but I can try. First of all, I believe that earlier, when we didn't have the opportunity for online communication, we always had extra time to think about our next message. We practiced real conversations, face-to-face conversations a lot. Because of that practice, we became accomplished at it; we were proficient at speaking. Right now, we don't practice as much; we can discuss everything online. As a result, we become less skilled at this. I believe that because of this, we can discuss nuanced topics or raise meaningful points and convey thoughts. Another thing is that many young people complain that others use their phones, for example, on dates, and it affects the flow and disrupts the opportunity.
