I think, reliance on technology affects students’ critical thinking skills in a negative way. Because, for example, when students are asking their questions on chat GPT and getting their answers immediately, it doesn’t contain the whole thinking process or the research for them to gain their answers. It’s just something provided immediately by the computer and internet. So it doesn’t tend to last in their brains for a long time and you just get to forget it right away. I think those type of instant answers and instant replies for questions you ask are decreasing your thinking skills because you’re accepting the information right away without actually criticizing about the questions and thinking about your own opinion so I think it’s very necessary to do a bit of research before you ask your actual question to the search engine. Thank you.
