I think the increasing reliance on online communication can actually affect the social skills of young adults both negatively and positively. On the positive side, by relying on online communication, it can help young adults interact with people from other countries and places. It can actually enable them to reach a wider audience as opposed to just interacting with people in the same area. However, by relying more on online communication instead of offline meetings, it can actually reduce social skills because young adults can become too comfortable talking on their phones instead of meeting face to face. Hence, it can negatively affect them because it makes them afraid to meet people in real life.
