When it comes to cultural consumerism, I believe that it is almost inevitable that we will fall prey to it since we are surrounded by influences from the internet and in real life from our peers. We can't exactly avoid it if we want to stay in tune with society nowadays. I believe that to avoid cultural consumerism, you have to try to remove yourself from the trending aspects of consumeristic bloggers as well as many of the internet personas that influence the way we dress and the way we buy things on a day-to-day basis.
