Yes, I think it's absolutely true that people in the past had more free time than people today. This is due to the rapid advancements in technology, the complexity of modern lifestyles, and the demands of daily activities. People today have busy schedules, often feeling pressured to keep up with economic demands and constantly seeking to enhance their knowledge through education. In contrast, people in the past often worked to earn a living for a set period of time, with the primary breadwinner supporting the family. They had more time to spend with their families and engage in leisure activities, leading to a greater sense of happiness. Additionally, rates of disease, depression, and psychological issues were lower in the past.
