In contrast, people in the past often worked to earn a living for a set period of time, with the primary breadwinner supporting the family. They had more time to spend with their families and engage in leisure activities, leading to a greater sense of happiness. Additionally, rates of disease, depression, and psychological issues were lower in the past.
