In recent years the coast of education had escalated rapidly, which has embraced the debate of whether education should be free for everyone or not. I’m going to discuss it in this presentation. First and foremost, reducing the cost of education or making education free, have its merits and demerits. For example, it will increase the more educated workforce, drive innovation and ultimately benefit society. In addition, it will reduce student debt, can have positive effect of financial stability for graduates. However, increasing the graduates across various fields, may lead to an oversaturation of the markets, potentially devaluing certain degrees. Another point I’d like to mention is a free-med tuition-free college. Education and quality may decline over time as schools and universities potentially unable to retain school educators. However, I believe that free education definitely has way more avails than high-cost education. A clear example is undeserved students. They would have a greater educational access if education was free. Each and every student, despite their social economic background, would have a chance to pursue their dreams and achieve their potential.
