In my opinion, there are several disadvantages of globalization for a country. One of them could be the gentrification that a country experiences. For example, Mexico City is undergoing significant gentrification right now, where foreign people are not just visiting as tourists but are also living there. We are losing aspects of our culture and language because the city is adapting to different people. Locals and restaurants in Mexico City are increasingly using English as the primary language instead of Spanish. I think this can be mitigated by requiring foreigners to learn the language, to learn Spanish, as it would help preserve our cultural identity and ensure that the local community remains vibrant and connected to its roots.
