I think that flexibility makes a difference in the learning styles of children and adults. Most people tend to be fixed in their ways of thinking and living. Therefore, they need a longer time to absorb knowledge and concepts compared to children. On the other hand, kids are more adaptable and able to change easily to take in new information. In addition, children use their own senses to adapt to new things and learn all the time in their daily lives. Conversely, adults learn mostly through their sight and hearing, and they can suppress learning from life experiences. This means that their knowledge mainly comes from class, not from their daily life.
