In my country, children have to follow a rule that they must show respect to older people in the family. For example, younger brothers or sisters greet and show respect to their older siblings, parents, or grandparents whenever they meet. They also have to show respect during dinner, where the older people eat first and the younger ones follow. This is a tradition of the Vietnamese people due to Confucianism. This was a traditional philosophy in Vietnam that focused on how we respect each other.
