Well, I firmly contend that speaking in contemporary society is far more vital for a skill set. The reason I believe this is the availability and abundance of tools for writing. For example, if you want to write a formal email or anything similar, you can use AIs or other tools that will benefit your writing. However, for speaking, there are fewer tools that will help you accomplish better speaking. Communication is one of the soft skills in today's world, which is a crucial skill to acquire. If you want success, then communication is one of the vital skills that you have to learn by heart.
