Well, I think that both of them are important, but if I had to choose, I'd definitely choose speaking, because speaking is an important communication skill. People speak every single day. For instance, even presidents or politicians speak every day, and it's really important for them to understand each other. While writing is not as necessary, it really doesn't require a lot of skills to learn how to write properly. However, speaking also involves eloquence, which is really important in people's daily lives. So I think that speaking is definitely more important than writing.
