I think there are many reasons for this phenomenon, but at first, I believe that life is becoming more and more hasty, and young people have to deal with a lot of stress and overwhelm. They seek quick entertainment options, and short videos are a perfect choice for this. Later on, when I reflected on short videos, I found out that the algorithms on platforms like TikTok are designed to keep showing users content that they enjoy, which further fuels their obsession.
