As far as I'm concerned, one of the substantial reasons can be enjoyment and passion. I would say hobbies often reflect personal interests and passions. Therefore, it can lead to a deep emotional connection that fosters obsession. On the one hand, engaging in a hobby can provide a temporary escape from daily stressors. On the other hand, a sense of achievement can promote and motivate the obsession in our lives.
