I think there are reasons why teachers use competitions in class. They want to encourage students to be more active and present in their classes. Most kids like competing, even if they don't like the subject. That's one reason. When people compete, they tend to concentrate more on the details, which may result in improved grades and overall performance for students.

I think there are reasons why teachers use competitions in class is because maybe they want to encourage students to be more active and present in their class and most of the kids like computing on what they like or even though they don’t like it they usually like competing with each other so that’s the reason and when people compete they tend to concentrate more on the details so maybe that would result improve results on students grade and their overall performance
