I honestly prefer to text my friends. I usually feel shy whenever I speak to them on the phone. I'm generally a shy person, and texting is also an appropriate way to communicate since they might not be available all the time, and I might be calling them at an inappropriate time.
I think I would prefer to receive an email instead of phone calls or texting because I sit in front of my desk and computers all day long. This makes checking email really handy for me, and I'm not good at chatting or texting.
