Do you think encouraging love of learning is important in the development of a child's intelligence?

I reckon that if teachers encourage a love of learning, then children will be willing to pursue more knowledge and will enjoy studying. I think nowadays it is one of the biggest problems why students are unhappy with their skills and progress because they don't see the point.
