Should schools prioritize teaching practical life skills over academic subjects like advanced mathematics?

I think there should be a balance between them. Focusing on practical life skills is essential for life. While academic knowledge is also important, they serve different purposes. Without academic knowledge, it will be hard to earn money nowadays, but practical life skills are equally important.
