The bar chart compares the proportion of adults with a high school level education in six different countries (Germany, the USA, Russia, S.Korea, Brazil and China) in 2010.
Overall, the proportion of older adults (55-64) in the USA was higher than younger adults (25-34),while in all other countries the youngest group had the highest figure.Additionally, S.Korea recorded the highest percentage in 2010, whereas China had the lowest figure.
The proportion of older adults in Germany was lower than younger adults.In Germany 55-64 year-old was below 80%, whilst the figure for young adults started at 85%.The USA 55-64 year-olds stood at approximately 90%, whereas the younger adults category accounted for roughly 85%.Russia 55-64 year-olds adults accounted for roughly 70%, whereas the figure for younger adults stood at about 90%.
In contrast, the proportion of 25-34-year-old adults in S.Korea was higher than 55-64-year-olds.S.Korea stood at around 97% in 2010.In comparison, the younger adults category accounted for at 45%.Brazil 25-34 year-old adults accounted for just over 50%.China had the lowest figure, with 25-34-year-old adults had 20%, while 55-64-year-olds made up roughly 10%.
