Overall, it is immediately apparent that the largest number of both students and tourists originating from China. Although visitors coming from Singapore have experienced a noticeable increase, the number of students visiting United States have witnessed the most significant rise today.
Starting from 1975, China absorbed a huge number of tourists at 825, followed by Taiwan at 700; however, both tourists coming to these two countries have remained stable at 825 and 700 respectively. While the number of tourists visiting Indonesia has decreased by 30, those figure of Singapore have witnessed a slight climb to 445.
Initially, the number of students visiting Taiwan was smaller than those of China, at 540 and 650 subsequently. Nevertheless, nowadays, the number of students studying in Taiwan has surpassed those of China at 790, when the figure of visiting China remained steady. Initially, only less than 300 students visiting USA, Singapore and Indonesia; nonetheless, the number of students in these three countries rose substantially to more than two times, where the number of students in Indonesia has experienced the most significant increased from 20 to 105.
