Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Arshdeep Kaur, a resident of the Boxgrove community and a full-time working professional. I am writing to bring to your attention the lack of adequate sports facilities for people in my age group in our neighbourhood.
To begin with, Boxgrove is a rapidly developing residential area on the outskirts of Markham. At present, the Boxgrove Community Centre provides only a limited range of indoor sports facilities, including swimming, badminton, and table tennis. Unfortunately, there are no outdoor facilities available for widely played sports such as cricket, volleyball, basketball, or football. Moreover, senior citizens are compelled to travel to other parts of the city in search of open spaces suitable for activities like yoga and light exercise.
There is an open piece of land adjacent to the community centre that is currently being misused as a dumping area. I strongly suggest that this space be developed into a multi-purpose outdoor sports ground. Given its central location and easy accessibility via public transport, this facility would be convenient for residents across all age groups.
The introduction of outdoor sports facilities would be particularly beneficial for working adults, as it would encourage a healthier lifestyle and provide an opportunity to relax and relieve stress after demanding work schedules. In addition, such a space would offer young people a constructive way to stay physically active and allow senior citizens to socialize and spend quality time with their families.
I sincerely hope you will give careful consideration to this proposal, as it would significantly enhance the overall well-being of the community.
Yours faithfully,
Arshdeep Kaur
