Overall,the amount of time men spend on leisure activities mostly outweighed that of women, while the reverse was true in household activities. Additionally, both females and males spend large amounts of their time on TV, video and radio categories .
Focusing on the time spent at leisure activities first, men often spend more time on leisure activities in comparison with that of women. TV, video, radio was the largest category in both genders with the figure 137 minutes and 118 minutes in men and women, respectively. Figures for women were slightly ahead of men in the reading category with 19 minutes and 18 minutes, respectively. As for the last category, it was lowest in both sexes with 15 minutes in men and 19 minutes in women.
When it comes to household activities, cooking,shopping and clothes washing and ironing were the categories where women considerably exceeded time spent by men, which was almost 78 for cooking and washing, 28 minutes in shopping, 25 minutes in the last remaining category. Surprisingly the amount of time in the repair section outweighed that of women with the figure 20 minutes.
