Dear Sonya,

It’s been a long time since we saw each other. I was so pleased to hear that you are moving to Minsk so I’m writing to give you some tips about my city.

Minsk is a vibrant and bustling city, so there are a lot of things to do. I suggest THAT you to settle down in Pobediteley district. It’s a luxury residential district with clean, green and quiet streets. This area also brimming with gyms and another sport places, like yoga or Pilates studios, so you it will feel like a home. Plus, it’s not a concrete jungle, it’s a leafy suburb. Apartments in this area cost around $400 per month, which is the average price for Minsk.

You know, Minsk has a really good transport communication. That’s why you won’t have a problem with public transport. We have a very convenient system for paying for transport, you can pay as a one-time trip and buy a ticket that costs 1 ruble 15 kopecks or you can buy a monthly card without sheets for all types of transport for only 56 rubles 80 kopecks! It is very cheap and helps to save money. By the way, it’s really hard to find A free parking place, so using the metro is a great idea. You can use the subway to reach any corner of the city.

Regarding meeting new people, there is no trouble to make friends. Minsk has a chill nightlife; you can visit Nemiga street. Life here can get a bit hectic at times. It’s like a (cultural) melting pot steeped in history. Also, I recommend you to hang out in Komsomolskaya street. There is a small and quite cafe, called Paulle. This cafe is my go-to spot for coffee. Average price for a cup of aromatic coffee and A dessert is 15 rubles.
