Band 8+: A friend has agreed to look after your house and pet while you are on holiday. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter: - give contact details for when you are away, - give instructions about how to care for your pet, - describe other household duties you would like your friend to undertake. When giving contact details, you do NOT need to write any addresses; something like the name of a friend you are staying with or a holiday destination is fine.

Thank you for taking care of my house and Brownies while I am away in New York. I will definitely buy you that ship model that you love when I see one!

In case of emergencies, you can call me through my mobile phone number or text me, but it’s best that you give me a ring as I have turned off all the notifications, and a ringing phone is always better at getting my attention.

Regarding Brownies, he’s not a picky eater. You can just find a package of dog food near the bowl and pour out some for him. If you want to spoil him then cut him some fresh meat that I left inside the fridge. Remember to wash him every afternoon and clean his potty.

As I have tidied up my house before leaving, you don’t need to do much to maintain it. Just sweep through it once per day with the broom in the corner near the fridge, and it will be fine. You can freely use my bowls and dishes as long as you wash them.
