Dear Ria,

I hope this letter finds you well. sorry to hear that you facing so many challenges at work. Sometimes things gets so overwhelming in our professional lives that it can disturb our mental peace. I completely feel you, recently I have been through similar situation.

A few months ago, one of my colleagues took all the credit in the meeting with my USA counter parts even though she haven’t worked on it. I was the one who did all the assessment, planning and implementation of that project. I gave my day and night to complete that task effectively. I was so divested when she represented the presentation made by me as hers. I confronted her right after the meeting in front of our manager and she agreed that she is at the fault. So, my advice to you is to have open communication with the annoying person you mentioned; clear communication often reduce the tension and foster better understanding.

Additionally, seeking help from your mentor or lead will definitely help you in this and they will also be aware about the situation. Don’t be afraid to reach out to your higher management if needed. Remember you are not alone in this; many people face this type of issues at workplace.

Please take care of you and keep me posted about the progress you make on this.

And always remember : “This too, shall pass!”

Much love,

Sarita.
