Dear Saishree,

Hope you and your family are doing good. I received your invitation for the house-warming party. Thank you for inviting me and congratulations for your new purchase in Goa. I hope this house brings happiness in your life.

I was excited when i received your letter and I started to check my schedule to request for leave. I remember I told you that next month will be my vacation, but as you know its just been 2 months since I have joined this company I was not able to get a week long leave, as there is an important meeting which is supposed to be led by me. This is an opportunity for growth in this company and I hope you understand my situation.

I am sorry for not able to make to your special day, but I promise you that I will surely visit you on my next holiday with my family. Congratulations again for your new house and wish you success in future.
