Dear Mr. John Smith!
I am writing to you to ask you a reference letter in order to apply for a secretary position.
I worked as your secretary for 10 years and I left my job about 1 year ago when my contract expired. When you did not extended my contract as a cause of this, you referred to the temporary financial problems of company. Therefore, I suppose you were satisfied with my work.
At present, as I mentioned previously, I would like to send an application for a secretary position. However, there is required to provide two references from former employers and one of these need to be given by the last boss. I ask you to give a reference letter in which you should emphasize my results in administrative tasks, including HR tasks, travellings and meetings organizin. I would be grateful if you mentioned my beneficial personal features too, such as throughout, attention in details, flexible in worktime.
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you very much in advance for your understanding and kind help.
Your sincerely,
Jane Taylor
