Given are the charts comparing the average age of men and women retired from work in 7 different countries between 2004 and 2008.
Overall, while it saw a decline in the age of female, and the age of male stayed stable unchanged in Italy, there was an incline in the average age of both genders for other countries. Additionally, the age of both sexes in Sweden was the highest, the age of residents in Italy was the lowest.
In terms of men, the number of age in Sweden rose 63 in 2004 to 63.7 in 2008. The age of men in Netherland, the UK, and Germany were slightly lower with the respective figures being 62, 61, and 60 in 2004. After which, it saw an increase in the average retirement age at 62.3 ,61.8, and 61 respectively. Similarly, the retirement age of men in Demark and France were at 59 and 58.6 in 2004, ended at 60 for the former, and 59 for the latter. Finally, 58 was the retirement age of men in Italy during the period shown.
Regarding to lady, the retirement age of women in Sweden, the Netherland, the UK, and Germany rose from 62,60.5,60, and 58.6 in 2004 to 62.5, 62, 60.5, and 60 in 2008 respectively. Similarly, the age data of women in Denmark and France saw and rise from 58, and 57.3 in 2004 to 58.6, and 58 in 2008.Interestingly, the age number of women in Italy was the only one to decrease starting at 57 and dropping to exactly 56 in 2008.
