Overall, watching TV was the most favorite activity of the day for both age groups. Moreover, people aged 15-19 tended to spend time for Socializing, playing games and sport while those ages 75+ used more time for Reading and Relaxing.
Regarding the average hours used in watching TV per day by age group 15-19 and 75+ in the US in 2015, this figure surpassed other segments, at around 2.4 and 4.5 respectively. The number of average hours consumed for Reading by citizens aged 75+ quadrupled that of ages 15-19, at about 1 and 0.25 in 2015 respectively. At the lowest position of the chart, just around 0.15 hours per day was used for Relaxing, Thinking by teenagers.
Socializing and communicating were used on average approximately 0.8 hours by young people in the US which was higher than that of the elderly , at around 0.7 hours in 2015. The number of hours consumed for playing games by residents aged 15-19 doubled that of sport activities, at about 1.2 hours and 0.6 hours. Moreover, old people aged 75+ spent the fewest average hours using computers and playing sports compared to other activities, just under 0.5 hours per day.
