This line chart depicts the eating rate of different junk food during each 5 years, starting from 1975 till 2000 by young Australians. It is clear from the graph that there is a different pattern of each type.
Teenagers were consuming below 10 Pizzas in 1975. However, Teenagers were begining gradually consuming more Pizza throughout the years untill 1995, with rate of nearly 85 Pizzas per year. Then, it remained steady untill 2000.
Hamburgers have a nearly similar starting point as Pizzas in 1975, with a rate of 10 per year. After that, the rate sharply increased until 1985. Subsequently, the consumption increased regularly untill 2000, with 100 Hamburgers per year.
In contrast of Pizza and Hamburgers, the rate of Fish & Chips was high in 1975 with 100 times of consumption by Australian teenagers. Next, the rate fluctuated and returned to a the same rate as 1975 in 1985. The rate moderately was decreasing until it reached 40 per year in 2000.
To sum up, we could say Pizza and Hamburger consumption is inreasing during 1975 to 2000. Whereas the rate of Fish & Chips has decreased through the same period.
