Overall, it is clear that cinema was more popular in both countries in the period of 15 years, starting 1975 and the number of cinema audiences in Australia was lower than in the UK, but the category of film in Australia was more diverse than in the UK.
According to the line graph, cinema attendance in the UK and Australia in 1975 was 100 million and 35 million, respectively. After that, this figure was a downtrend in 1985, in there the cinema in the UK plunged from 100 to 60. However, at the end of the period, both countries witnessed a tremendous surge in the UK, and Australian cinema admission could also be seen from about 40 million and 60 million to 180 million and approximately 100 million.
The lion’s share in both countries including Australia and the UK is US films, at nearly two-thirds and three-quarters, respectively. the next most popular film was UK films, with a fifth and a small fraction of people watching so. Next came catched Australia films less prevailing in both countries with small entirely only 3% to 10%. Conversely, about 15% of Australians saw other movies as opposed to 4% of Englanders in those movies.
