The bar chart and pie charts illustrate the percentage of possessed education level (school certific, university degree, and no qualifications) of people in Glasgow in the year 2010. The information is divided into five age groups in the bar chart and by gender in the pie charts.
Overall, majority of those in the younger age group had university degree, whereas those of the oldest age group mostly had no qualification. The proportion of the three education levels were relatively equal in both men and women.
The percentage of people with university education were up to 76% in the first three younger age groups, as compared to only 50% in those aged 50 to 75 and further reduced by half in those over 75. This trend was reversed for people without any qualifications (9% for younger people and raised to 72% in the oldest age group). The proportion of those with school education was relatively stable with around 20% but fell to just 3% in those aged above 75.
The proportion of all three level of education is almost the same with approximately one third in both of the gender. The only difference is people with university degree as well as no qualification which differs in men as compared to women by 3%.
