Overall, the crime rate recorded in Manchester city from 2003 to 2006 burglary remains on top. While, second most recorded crime till 2006 was car theft. However, robbery always remains less than thousand recorded cases in Manchester.
In depth figures the chart shows that the burglary rate which was on its top in 2004 with the recorded cases of 3750. And after 2004 it gradually dropped till 2008 where 1000 cases recorded of burglary in Manchester. After that in 2009 again it trends little upward and 1500 cases recorded and for instance, remains almost unchanged till 2012. Secondly, car theft is the second most reported crime in Manchester till 2006 at that time where 2000 cases recorded. After that from the mid of 2006 trends upwards and till 2012 it was the most listed crime of the Manchester with almost 2800 cases. Moreover, robbery is the crime which always remains lesser than other two areas of crime. Most recorded cases of robbery in Manchester city were 950 to 1000 in the year of 2004. After that robbery cases remain more or less constant around 500 to 650 till 2012.
