Overall, expenditure in China declined steadily throughout the period but fluctuated in India. Despite this, the total amount of money flowed in China is higher than in India.
The Chinese Economy received just under $ 80 billion in 2014, which fell to around $ 60 billion in 2015 and 2016. After a slight decrease in 2017, There was a massive resurgence to a high point of more than $ 100 billion in 2018 before receding to just over $ 40 billion in 2019.
In 2014, foreign outlays into India’s economy reached more than $ 20 billion, then rose significantly to approximately $ 60 billion in 2015 and 2016 before falling back to a similar level as 2014, in 2017. The following year 2018 witnessed a dramatic rise to just below $ 60 billion before returning to around $ 20 billion in 2019. 2015 was the only year where in India’s level of foreign investment exceeded China’s with values of slightly above $ 60 billion and below $ 80 billion respectively.
