Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to appeal for an increase in the time frame for which my apartment was initially rented. I concur that we reached an agreement for me to be in the apartment for just six months, however, I just came to realize that leaving the house at the end of six months may pose a significant inconvenience to my plans.
I will really be grateful if I could be allowed to remain here for the next one year. I am ready to pay for the extra costs this may incur.
Currently, I secured a spot to do a one year internship program at the Federal hospital in town, just 30 minutes drive from the apartment. Although the hospital provided a free accommodation for the new interns, its location is over an hour drive from the hospital and this will spiral down to an increased transportation cost as well as failing to meet up with the early morning clinical conferences held every week day. This is the reason for my request.
I also want to bring to your notice a slight inconvenience that I face at the apartment – the bathroom and kitchen sinks are all faulty and thus fail to drain waste water efficiently. I will really require the services of a plumber of your choice as soon as possible.
Thank you in anticipation of a favourable response from you.
Yours sincerely,
Gift Martins.
