Overall, there was an upward trend in both industries, with service industry increasing gradually during the period. Additionally, while IT industry accounted for the most of GDP in 2000, the reverse was true for service industry at the start of the period.
At the beginning of the period, IT service made up just above 6%, whereas this figure for service industry was slightly lower, at 4%. In 1994, both industries experienced a rise of 2%. While service industry witnessed a slight increase, IT service remained relatively stable in 1996.
The percentage of service industry increased gradually, rising from 7% to 8% between 1996 to 2000. Moreover, there was a jump of 4% in IT service in 1996, which was followed by a significant growth of 3% in the last year shown.
