The pie charts compare the proportion of seven distinct means of transportation which were used for work in London in three notable years, 1990, 2000 and 2010
Overall, the percentage of underground railway, train and car experienced the downward trend, but figure of that was constituting the majority of the chart throught two decades. While some slightly fluctuation can be witnessed for the others.
Looking at the pie chart in more details, in terms of most ubiquitous transport, although Underground railways decreased by 4% compared to 1990 (38%), it demonstrated the highest figure in 2010 (34%), while the proportion of train was fairly unchanged at 24% over the period. Moreover, car slightly dropped from 22% in 1990 to 19% in 2010 which held the third highest utilization rate.
On the other hand, motorcycles, which occupied 4% in 1990, saw a slight increase to 5% in 2010, maintaining lowest percentage on the chart. In contrast, bicycle usage, initially at 4%, grew up to 10% in 2010. Besides, the rate of walk experienced erratic behaviors, occupying 8%, 10%, 9% respectively over the three period.
