In 1800, the population in New York started had 79,216 populations, and it had a dramatic rise to 3,437,202 in 1900. It grew up until reach a peak at 8,009,185 in 2000.
Manhattan started at 76% as the population was 60,515 people in 1800. It fell down to more than a half (54%) where the population was 1,850,093 in 1900. Mahnhattan dropped dramatically until less than a fifth (20%) and the amount of people was only 1,538,096 in 2000.
In contrast with Manhattan, the other districts started at almost a quarter (24%) with the population up to 18,701 in 1800. They increased until reached almost than a half (46%) as the total of population was 1,587,109 in 1900. It finally reached a peak until more than three quarters (81%), with the total of people reached up to 6,471,089 in 2000.
