It is not surprising that people spend a lot of money to buy gifts as it represents of their care and love. The aim of my project is to elucidate the most important occasions for buying gifts in Zetland. As part of my research, I have found a pie chart with the results of a survey. I am going to analyze the data and express my opinion.
According to the statistics, there are numerous occasions for buying gifts. A large proportion of the respondents reckon that “Christmas” and “Wedding” are the most crucial events for buying presents. (30% and 27% respectively) “Graduation” is also a quite popular answer among the people in Zetland (22%), whereas “Birthday” appears to be the least common response. (4%)
It is noticeable that there is a significant difference between the most chosen and the least chosen options: “Christmas” 26% greater than “Birthday.” It is not surprising because buying and giving presents for Christmas becomes a tradition and everyone trying to get a gift on this holiday. Speaking about Birthdays, some people are not allowed to buy gifts for their birthdays because they convince that presents are not a main part of their celebration and they do not obsessed about that.
Regrettably, there are certain challenges that individuals may encounter with choosing a present. For example, it can be really challenging to find something that person will like and appreciate. To solve this problem, ask your friend or relative about their preferences and try to find present depends on their interests.
In conclusion, I think that people buy gifts because it represents attention and care to their relatives. Moreover, some psychologists say that for some people giving gifts is a language of love and they can not express their feelings differently.
