The pie charts compare and contrast striking similarities and differences in the number of hours spent by undergraduates, postgraduates and the total student population in a British library.
Looking at the charts in more detail, the majority of students spend less than 7 hours in this library. Moreover, most postgraduate students studied for over 15 hours in the library.
Beginning with the number of hours spent by students, half of them stay at the library for 1‐7 hours, followed by 35% of them for 8-14 hours. Meanwhile, only 15% of the students spend over 15 hours in the library.
Turning to undergraduates and postgraduate students, the largest proportion of roughly 63% belonged to undergraduates who spend less than 7 hours, while only 9% of them spend more than 15 hours.Notably, this situation is reversed for the percentage of postgraduates, with the former and the latter accounting for around 51% and 17% respectively. Moreover, an average of roughly 30% undergraduate and postgraduate students spend 8-14 hours in the library.
