The bar chart illustrates the entire distances covered by travellers on five types of vehicles (bicycle, motorbike, air, bus and rail) in the United Kingdom over the period of 10 years starting from 1990.
Overall, it is evident that railway and busses was the most popular transportation over five categories while, bicycles and motorbikes introduced opposite trend.
Examining the details, bus rocerded the highest value in 1990 with approximately 45 billion kilometers, and followed by rail at about 40 billion kilometers. While bikes stood at around 5 or less. Likewise, motorbike was slightly higher than bicycle with over 7km. In addition, a similar trend was seen in air travel with the figure beginning with 4 billion kilometers.
By contrast, in 2000 these trends experienced an increase, for instance bus and rail showed similar proportion of passenger kilometers with approsimately 47 billion kilometers. However, two more figures introduced decrease bycyles and motorbikes dropped to 5 billion kilometers at the end of the given period. Therefore, air experienced rose to approximately 7 kilometers in the year of 2000.
