Last Friday some friends and I had dinner in your restaurant to celebrate my thirtieth birthday. I am writing to express my gratitude for the excellent evening you provided us with.

All my friends commented afterwards on the quality of the food and service that we received. Each dish was extremely tasty and well presented. The special for the day – lamb and prune tagine – was particularly delicious and certainly a candidate for the best of its kind I have ever had. Our waiter, whose name was Tom, was helpful and friendly and gave us remarkably efficient service. The restaurant itself was warm and cosy and from what I observed of other diners I believe I can confidently say that there was a positive atmosphere throughout the restaurant.

However, I would like though to suggest one small improvement. One of my friends is a vegan and he felt that the choice of vegan food was somewhat limited. If you could develop that, it would be a great advantage to your otherwise outstanding restaurant.

Once again I would like to thank you for my highly enjoyable birthday dinner.
