Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to notify you about the luggage which I lost last week while traveling to New York. I have opted for travel insurance provided by your company while booking my airline tickets which covered any damage and loss of baggage during my travel from my origin which was Toronto to my destination, which was New York.
The above-mentioned baggage was a cabin bag having important documents and my laptop in it. It was a hard-cover red colored bag. During my transit at Chicago airport, when I was waiting at the gate for boarding after completing all security checks, the luggage was there with me. However, just before boarding, a group of people passed through me, after which I could not find it.
As per the insurance policy regulations stated in the detailed email sent from your company while booking the air tickets and opting for travel insurance, it says that any loss of baggage while traveling is covered under the policy. Moreover, it also states that all the valuable items in the luggage lost shall be covered. Although I had no money or any such expensive items in my bag, the only valuable things which I lost was my personal laptop.
Therefore, I request to kindly acknowledge the receipt of the above claim and inform me about the detailed procedures which are required for settlement of claim for lost baggage.
I look forward to a positive response from you.
Yours Sincerely,
Monica G.
